美國總統歐巴馬在年終記者會上談到美中台關係，外界認為形同讓台灣「港澳化」。蔡英文總統昨與台北市長柯文哲同台出席活動，總統對媒體追問並未回應，反而是柯文哲直言，國際上講究實力原則，若台灣有實力，在談判桌上自然可以講話大聲，但他也坦言，目前台灣在國際上的分量，「是比以前差了一點。」
針對歐巴馬的說法，柯文哲再三強調，「不是別人講你怎樣就怎樣，而是台灣自己在國際社會分量如何？」
媒體追問怎麼看目前台灣在國際社會的分量，他坦言是「比以前差了一點」，還需要努力，別人把我們當棋子用，我們也要當重要的棋子，不要被輕易擺佈。
